Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has finally broken its silence over the illegal detention of Ugandan MP and musician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine. The LSK said it will sue the Ugandan government at the East African Court of Justice for violation of human rights in the illegal detention of Bobi. “We are calling upon East African states, Kenya Included, to apply pressure on Uganda to comply with these demands and respect international human rights instruments” said LSK Nairobi chairman Charles Kanjama.
Kanjama said they are working closely with the East Africa Law Society to seek further legal action in the Ugandan courts and the East Africa Court of Justice.
